Diego Aragón began his music studies at the age of 7 at the INEM school, later he entered the ‘Antonio María Valencia’ Conservatory in the city of Cali, where he studied violin with teachers Felipe Martínez and Marcelo Valencia. In 2012 he was a member of the OSJVC touring as a soloist nationally and also in countries like Italy, France and Spain, being one of its youngest members. He has been concertmaster of the orchestra of the Conservatory, Universidad del Valle, being a soloist on several occasions, and the Popayán Philharmonic under the baton of maestro Felipe Aguirre and with world-class soloists such as Benjamin Baker and Alexander Ullman. At the age of 15, he was invited to play as a supernumerary musician for the Cali Philharmonic Orchestra and later he was a member of the Colombian Youth Philharmonic in 2016 under the baton of maestro Andrés Orozco-Estrada and playing in theaters like Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Musikverein(Vienna) among others. He has participated in several contests such as the Young Soloists of the City of Cali and the Violinissimo Contest in Medellín, winning 2nd place in the young performers category.

He has received master classes with violinists Andrey Baranov, Daniil Avstrich, Klara Flieder, Hagai Shaham, Lynn Chang, Benjamin Baker, among others. He is currently studying his master’s degree at the Mons Royal Conservatory in Belgium with Anton Martynov and Kremena Oksenkrug and is a member of the Colombian Youth Philharmonic.
